Growing Glenn - A County Farmers' Market

The Glenn County RCD has been awarded a grant through the USDA Farmers’ Market Promotion Program (FMPP) for the start-up of a Glenn County Certified Farmers’ Market.  The project, titled “Growing Glenn – A County Farmers’ Market” will provide for Market management, Market advertisement, the formation of a Grower’s Association and a Partner’s Program which encourages vendors to mentor a local youth in the Market experience.

An important start-up meeting is scheduled for January 14, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at the Carnegie Center, 912 E. 3rd Street, Orland, CA.  For more information, call (530) 934-4601 x120.
